A lovely and cozy pub with well-decorated rooms and a friendly atmosphere. The food was outstanding, particularly the delightful yogurts served for breakfast. the check-in process was marred by an indifferent staff member, and the lack of coat hangers in the wardrobe was disappointing. the WiFi access required an intrusive policy agreement that felt unnecessary.

Cozy Atmosphere and Delicious Food
We enjoyed a lovely stay in a quaint village setting, surrounded by stunning scenery. The food exceeded our expectations, especially the breakfast with fresh options and warm service from the staff. Our room was comfortable, but there was a noticeable draft from the window, which could be improved.

Had a great experience staying here for a night with my friends. The cozy decor and clean rooms really set the mood, and we loved chilling by the fire pit and enjoyed the peaceful garden. The only downside was a bit of noise from neighboring guests, but it didn't ruin our good time at all. 😊

The Barley Mow had a warm, cozy vibe right from the start, especially with the log burners going. The room was comfortable but came with some peeling paint that caught my eye. I enjoyed the meals. both breakfast and dinner were of good quality. the service was a bit slow at breakfast, which could use some improvement. On the walk to our room, I noticed the carpets needed a good clean. The walls seemed thin. I could hear noises from the surrounding area, making it harder to relax at times. Parking was a bit tricky, especially during peak hours. Still, the charm of the place and the friendly staff made it a pleasant stay overall.

Had a great time with friends exploring the trails around Pendle and enjoying the food here. The place is a cozy stop with a warm vibe after hikes, and it's just a short trip to King George's Hall. Recommend trying the local hiking and maybe catch some fishing nearby.
One downside was the indifferent service we got at check-in. It felt like we were ignored for a bit since the rest of the staff was friendly.

missingWrote a review on 30 Maycharming wallscozy atmosphereextensive drinksthin walls
The room featured charming original stone walls that added character, and the cozy wood-burning stove in the pub created an inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day outdoors. The extensive drinks menu included local ales, making it a great stop for those wanting to sample regional flavors.
Noise from the kitchen below was noticeable, especially in the early morning when staff started their day at 7:30 am. The walls between rooms created a lack of privacy, allowing sounds from neighboring guests to travel freely. I also encountered a hair dryer that only emitted cold air, and the fact that my room wasn't serviced on the second day led to dirty cups remaining through my stay. I’d suggest a shower mat for improved safety, as it could benefit older visitors.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in a standard double room. It had a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, and a coffee machine. The shower was great, and we appreciated the spa water and cookies in the hospitality tray. Breakfast was freshly cooked with high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere in the pub was cozy, with a lovely log burner.
